“How Will I Know” Crowd Sing-Along Performed by Marieme, Melanie Faye, David Williams & Charles Yang
At the Summit Palm Desert Closing Plenary, a star-studded ensemble of musicians came together to close out the event in style, performing a rousing rendition of Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know." Marieme, Melanie Faye, David Williams and Charles Yang got the whole crowd on their feet singing, laughing, clapping and dancing on top of their chairs. Magic was in the air.
This performance was recorded at Summit Palm Desert in November 2022.

This song that we're going to do for you is called "Be the Change." I wrote this song in 2018 because it was very necessary, and it still is necessary. We need to be the change every day and wake up.

Come on back down, every day you say I will make a better world. Life is not a fairy tale, no, not for boys and girls. You got to stop the talking, got to get down. Stop the talking, got to get down. Intentions only take you far when you're on the road. Don't wait around for people to do what you should do. You got to stop the talking. Don't be tomorrow, waiting for that day. A heavy heart can slow you down when you're not aware. Clear the spaces in your mind, stop to be the air. Lay a break, day by day, build your house of love. Show that there's a better way to help us just begin.
Be the shelter. Don't be tomorrow, waiting for that day. Tomorrow, baby. Don't be tomorrow.

That was amazing. I want to add more magic to this day, so I'm gonna invite Charles up on stage. Are you gonna come through? We have one more song for you guys. So excited — me too. So amazing.
So, moments in time. I love practicing being present. I was at a workshop the other day and they said, to be present is to access infinity, because that's where the past and the future live. So I try to be as present as possible so that all things are possible.

When I wake from dreaming, tell me, is it really love? How will I know? Don't trust a feeling. How will I know? How will I know? How will I know?
How will I know if he really loves me? I say a prayer with every heartbeat. I fall in love whenever we meet. Do you love me? Do you love me? I fall in love.
When am I asking you, 'cause you know about — how will I know if he's thinking of me? I try to phone but I'm too shy. Do you love me now? Come on!
[applause]
Thank you!
David Williams, everybody! I see you guys dancing over there. Come on, yes!
