JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and versatile individual to join our team as a Community Engagement and Marketing Manager. This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, community management, social media, and copywriting, making it a unique opportunity for someone deeply connected to the current cultural landscape.

In this role, the Community Engagement and Marketing Manager will serve as the voice of the Summit Community. If you’re knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything from creativity and climate change to leadership, artificial intelligence and more, we want to hear from you. The Community Engagement and Marketing Manager oversees all Summit Community engagement opportunities and communications, leading our external and internal communications strategy. This role is responsible for marketing Summit’s events, and communicating about these opportunities to gather, online and in-person, by storytelling and amplifying our content to a global audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our conferences and community initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Overseeing comprehensive strategy to maintain the Summit brand and voice on internal and external platforms.

Community Management

  • Communicating on platform with an international audience including identifying opportunities for engagement, helping to create a sense of belonging, improving brand sentiment and responding to and managing enquiries and comments.

  • Drive interactions, discussions, and collaborations within the Summit Membership platform and Summit Community channels.

  • Managing and maintaining community online resources.

  • Overseeing and addressing the needs of the Summit Community, including accessibility and regional concerns.

  • Interaction with a diverse range of individuals and organizational stakeholders throughout the global Summit Community.

  • Managing engagement and communications functions.

Social Media Management

  • Curate and create compelling content for various social media platforms to increase brand visibility and engagement.

  • Monitor trends and leverage social media to amplify all event and programming content.

Copywriting

  • Writing fresh, attention-grabbing copy for Summit’s organic social media channels including posts, graphics, and other social media content.

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging that resonates with our diverse audience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10 years of experience in a relevant role.

  • Strong proficiency in time management, organization, and multitasking.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in utilizing productivity tools, software, and systems for calendar management, email correspondence, and document preparation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • A genuine passion for events and community building, with a strong desire to create meaningful experiences that bring people together.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and take initiative.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive under pressure.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to assist as necessary.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

COMPENSATION

Based and commensurate to experience level.
