Impact Experience
San Francisco, California

Directing investments to solve society’s greatest challenges by building lasting relationships between impact investors, philanthropists, innovators, artists, entrepreneurs and community leaders.

The problem

Impact investing – often plagued with bias – hasn’t yet developed sufficiently to counter issues of income inequality and marginalization. Although impact investing will account for $1 trillion by 2020, needy communities are often overlooked as high risk. Even when investment is available, local stakeholders rarely have a say in how it’s deployed.

Our Approach

Impact Experience has developed a model for directing new investments to marginalized communities. They foster relationships between key stakeholders and community members so that they can co-create solutions and commit funding. Investments focus on climate justice by identifying the people and places most vulnerable to climate change’s externalities.
