There are 16 million youths in the US that do not have access to art, music or sport activities due to income inequality. The lack of affordable extracurricular activities widens the achievement gap, keeping children from low-income families from performing well in school and accessing opportunities. Extracurriculars provide the foundation needed to improve achievement outcomes, but they are often a financial burden on families and schools.
Davi is a social impact sneaker that is bringing extracurriculars to underserved communities by providing equipment, trained coaches and facilities. With every pair of Davi sneakers sold, 3 months of after-school gym access or needed equipment is given to the buyer’s local community.
