ROLE

The Programming Operations Manager directly supports the VP of Programming + Experience at Summit.

As the lead person helping the VP of Programming + Experience take concepts from ideation to fruition, the Programming Operations Manager also acts as an internal project integrator and translator, interfacing with internal stakeholders like programming and production team members (event producers, program producers, budget and talent logistics managers), internal marketing partners (VP of Marketing), and external vendors that may include graphic designers, videographers, copywriters, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Serve as the operational leader that unifies efforts across the key creative verticals, with a primary focus on programming operations, and a secondary focus on content, video and audio production as part of the programming life cycle.

  • The Operations Manager’s systems thinking, and ability to translate creative deliverables into actionable steps and timelines will span the core creative verticals including, and not limited to:

    • Live event programming

    • Virtual event programming

    • Video and audio production

    • Tight turnaround concepting for design, narrative, content pitches

    • Establish systems that anchor, enhance, and improve the creative process across the areas the in which you participate

  • Stakeholder management across the Summit Series organization – from coordination with peers from other teams, to supporting efficiencies amongst senior leadership team.

  • Project management across the creative verticals including serving as liaison between Marketing and Programming - making sure Marketing department has everything they need from Programming department.

  • Ensuring that clear communication and organization fosters a strong sense of team cohesion and unity, empowering the relevant team members to deliver excellent internal and external creative outcomes for the business.

  • Serve as the operational leader that unifies efforts across the key programming verticals: Music, Thought Leadership, Impact + Sustainability, Health & Happiness, Marketing, Plenaries, and Talent Relations.

  • Manage key Programming documents and Programming marketing needs.

  • Assist Programming + Content teams with departmental projects as necessary.

  • Create and manage Programming Playbook for each event. 

  • Follow up with programming departments on open intake forms, copywriting, marketing needs, etc. using Programming Master Doc.

  • Support VP of Programming + Experience by preparing meeting materials and communicating meeting follow ups. 

  • Assist with the creation and management of internal SOPs and documents.

  • Serve as project manager for all digital content capture and implementation including managing capture, editing, and distribution of video, social media, photo assets, etc.

  • Weekly meetings with VP of Marketing to review material needed from Programming department / Programming projects.

  • Take notes during meetings.
