Ops Coordinator
Overview:
The Summit team is composed of producers, community builders, engineers, writers, and operators all with a sharp eye for experiential design and human connection. Role:
As an Operations Coordinator, you will act as the cohesive element that keeps the 3,500 person Summit events operating at an unparalleled level of efficiency. Summit is looking for a talented, intelligent innovator who can work with the executive operations team to support the numerous complex facets of the Summit flagship events.
Responsibilities:
Managing resulting relationships with venues and vendors
Researching food and beverage partners for donated or at-cost product and activations using the Summit rolodex, curator relationships and cold calls
Manage new food and beverage pop-ups and other creative programming through online research and community phone calls
Updating and tracking budgets
Work with the recruiting team to identify, interview and hire contractors necessary to support the event
Taking a larger role in running the event on-site. There will be managers for each component (food, beverage, design, transportation) but you will be a central point of information and knowledge – often being is the best position to make decisions.
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience of event production and organization
Excellent phone and communication skills
Not afraid of long hours required to produce large scale multi-day event
Methodological, organized and proactive
Problem solver, strong collaborator, supportive team player
